Speaking of Wonder Woman, She had a twin sister…
Nu`bia
Formed from clay as a twin to Wonder Woman, Nu’bia was kidnapped by Mars (Ares), who raised her, controlling her mind so that she would help him bring down the Amazons.
After a session in the Amazon Memory banks, Wonder Woman is confronted by Nu’bia, who challenges her to single combat. The two initially wrestle, then face each other with swords. Wonder Woman and Nu’bia seem evenly matched until Nu’bia knocks the sword from Wonder Woman’s hand then hesitates to kill her, giving Wonder Woman the chance to wrestle her to a draw.
The stranger declares “I am Nu’bia!”, then she and Wonder Woman embrace.

OTAKUism: Whaaat?! Run dat by Me agin…?

OTAKUism: Wonder Woman cosplay
I can name most of the busts I see: [row 1] Cheetara of the Thundercats; Princess Leia Organa (Solo) of the Star Wars series in her slave metal bikini; Chun-Li of the Street Fighter CapCom video game series; [row 2] Black Cat (Felicia Hardy) from Marvel Comics; Wonder Woman of DC Comics; ???; [row 3] ???; the White Queen (Emma Frost) of the X-Men; ??? … but I think it may be Elektra (?) of Marvel. If anyone recognizes those that I could not, would you please drop Me a line?

DC has announced the first 11 of their 52 new books. The books are:
Justice League #1, written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Jim Lee
Wonder Woman #1, written by Brian Azzarello and illustrated by Cliff Chiang
Aquaman #1, written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Ivan Reis
The Flash #1, written by Francis Manapul and illustrated by Manapul and Brian Buccellato
The Fury Of Firestorm #1, written by Ethan Van Sciver and Gail Simone and illustrated Yildiray Cinar
The Savage Hawkman #1, written by Tony Daniel and illustrated by Philip Tan
Green Arrow #1, written by JT Krul and illustrated by Dan Jurgens
Justice League International #1, written by Dan Jurgens and illustrated by Aaron Lopresti
Mr. Terrific #1, written by Eric Wallace and illustrated by Roger Robinson
Captain Atom #1, written by JT Krul and illustrated by Freddie Williams II
DC Universe Presents #1, initially written by Paul Jenkins and illustrated by Bernard Chang
I have mixed emotions about some of this. I am very excited to see Cliff Chiang draw Wonder Woman, but despite my love for his work I am terrified of what Brian Azzarello has planned (see: anything he’s ever written ever). On the plus side, Manapul stays on Flash and the JLI - despite not being written by Winick - has an interesting line-up. But it looks like Batman Inc. is dead. Sadness.
For more information and covers, check out Multiversity Comics, where I’ve organized it all for you in a convenient way.
